Our approach

Our team all work exclusively with children, allowing them to dedicate themselves to the specific goals and challenges children face. We are committed to supporting children in reaching their fullest potential and achieving meaningful participation in daily activities. Our approach to therapy for children is founded on principles of holistic care, individualisation, collaboration, and empowerment. Here's how we will approach working with you and your child:

1. Holistic Assessment and Intervention

  • We conduct thorough assessments to understand each child's unique strengths, challenges and needs across all areas of development, including motor skills, communication skills, sensory processing, self-care, play, social interaction, and cognitive abilities.

  • Our interventions are designed to address the whole child, considering their physical, emotional, cognitive, and social well-being. We recognise that these aspects are interconnected and influence each other's development.

2. Individualised Treatment Plans

  • Recognising that every child is unique, we develop personalised treatment plans tailored to meet the specific goals and needs of each child and their family.

  • Our interventions are highly individualised, taking into account the child's interests, preferences, cultural background, developmental stage, and family dynamics.

3. Empowerment and Skill Building

  • Our interventions focus on empowering children to develop the skills they need to participate fully in daily activities and routines.

  • We employ evidence-based strategies and therapeutic activities aimed at promoting skill acquisition, fostering independence, enhancing self-confidence, and improving overall quality of life.

4. Collaborative Approach

  • We believe in collaboration and teamwork, working closely with parents, caregivers, teachers, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a coordinated and comprehensive approach to care.

  • Through regular communication and collaboration, we strive to align our therapeutic goals with the child's goals and priorities identified by their support network.

5. Inclusion and Advocacy

  • We advocate for the inclusion and participation of children with diverse abilities in all aspects of life, including home, school, and community settings.

  • Through education and support, we empower families and caregivers to advocate for their child's needs and access resources and accommodations that promote inclusion and accessibility.

6.Celebrating Progress and Resilience

  • We celebrate every child's progress, no matter how small, and recognise their resilience and determination in overcoming challenges.

  • Positive reinforcement, encouragement, and validation are integral parts of our therapeutic approach, fostering a sense of accomplishment and motivation for continued growth and development.
